St Peter’s Job Club

St Peter’s is starting a new Christians Against Poverty Job Club for the residents of Lewisham and beyond. This is a great opportunity for local jobseekers to get the support they need to find meaningful work.

This service is for you if you are unemployed and seeking work, or who are seeking more meaningful work. Please also let anyone else know if you think would benefit from knowing about the service.

The purpose of the Job Club is to help unemployed people or people seeking more meaningful work find satisfying, paid employment. The Club meets weekly on Monday eveningsfrom 6.30pm,starting on Monday 28 January. The CAP Job Club offers:

training in key elements of securing employment – from overcoming obstacles to CV, application and interview skills trainingone to one coaching and mentoringwithin a wider, supportive peer community – each session starts with a free meal, and social activities will be arranged

The Club is being run by St Peter’s Church, Brockley, in partnership with Christians Against Poverty

(CAP). CAP is endorsed by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), and has a track record of success second to none. The Club is completely free of charge and open to all, regardless of age, gender, faith or background.
