We believe dance is something to be enjoyed by all the community. We offer a wide range of classes that focus not only on dance skills and fitness but also on self-confidence and fun. Dance should enable you to be free to be you.

Whilst classes are running there will be a cafe and play areas for siblings to enjoy because we’re also passionate about creating community around dance.

Classes start on Monday 14th January and run throughout term time.

All costs are for termly commitment of 10 weeks 

Dance express: £40 a term 

Little stars Ballet: £50 a term 

Ballet: Primary-grade 2: £60 a term

Street Dance: £60 a term

Adult Ballet: £6 weekly payment or £60 a term.

Fitness and conditioning: £6 weekly payment or £60 a term.

Dance express

All aboard the dance express train to....the park, dinosaur land, under the sea and many more adventures. This is a fun, interactive class for toddlers and parents using fun tunes, groovy moves, props and songs. 

Street dance 

Fun, interactive Street Dance classes learning skills but also time to free style and create. Music and moves carefully selected to be appropriate for the age of the children. 

(Imperial) Classical Ballet:

Inspired, creative classes for children to adults, to strengthen muscles and improve posture and flexibility. Starting with the basic foundation of ballet, then perfecting beautiful positions and movements while improving technique and inspiring a love of ballet in a safe environment. 

Following ISTD syllabus from Primary+ and offering Exams, which they get a certificate for. 

Creative Contemporary:

A fun, innovative class, with no defined style, encouraging creativity through movement in many forms. Each lesson will be new and exciting so come to challenge your artistic skills and discover how your body and mind can work together to create something brilliant. 

Fitness and Conditioning:

Starting with cardio and aerobic fitness, this class will help stamina and promote a healthy heart. We will then look at how to strengthen and stretch deeper muscles all over the body. So, whether you’re a budding dancer or not, you’ll leave this class feeling refreshed, invigorated, and more positive about your beautiful body. 

Who’s who?

Hanelle Jones - Coordinator

Hanelle began dancing at the age of 3, her Mother said she danced before she walked! she trained in ISTD ballet, tap, modern throughout her childhood. At  age 11-18 she attended Tring Park Theatre school specialising in musical theatre where she also trained in teaching ISTD Modern and tap. 

In her early 20’s Hanelle realised her passion for dance went beyond performance but that dance could be used to create and build community. 

Hanelle has set up community dance projects in North and central London and Bristol with a passion to see dance accessed by all. Hanelle is passionate about high quality teaching where pupils are challenged and stretched but also given freedom to create and enjoy their amazing bodies!

Hanelle is also Married to Ben the Vicar of St Peter’s and has 3 daughters all who will get to enjoy and benefit from Dance at St Peters. 

Chloe Stephens - Teacher

Chloe’s passion for dancing began at age 3, when was transfixed on a live performance by the Bolshoi Ballet. 

She's highly trained in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern. She graduated with a BA/BSc in Dance Studies from Roehampton University in ballet and contemporary dance, to then attain her Diploma in Dance Instruction in ISTD Imperial Ballet at The Dance College. Since 2014, she has been teaching ballet at many dance schools in London and Hertfordshire, where she has entered children for exams and nation-wide award ceremonies and choreographed for shows. She loves sharing her passion and extensive knowledge with children and adults.

Her performance repertoire includes Coppelia, and en pointe in the corps de ballet in Giselle with the English National Youth Ballet, as well as shows en pointe, solos, music videos, a ballet film, contemporary pieces and in the Olympics Opening Ceremony. She thoroughly enjoys exploring other dance styles, including lindy hop/swing, charleston, salsa, rhumba, cha-cha-cha, mambo, forro, commercial, anti-gravity yoga, aerial hoop and flying trapeze.

Hannah - Teacher

Hannah was born and raised in Newbury, Berkshire. She always enjoyed dance at school, and took it as a GCSE and A level, as well as partaking in as many dance classes in and around school as she could. She became House Dance Captain and the school Dance Ambassador. She began taking dance more seriously at 15 years old when she started regular ballet, tap and modern lessons, and performed in amateur Musical Theatre productions. After finishing school Hannah became an apprentice of Springs Dance Company (a Christian Dance Company) where she learnt many styles of contemporary dance, as well as ballet and street dance. This year also involved touring the UK and Germany, teaching creative dance and performing in schools and churches. Hannah is now in her second year at the Royal Academy of Dance and she is enjoying improving her ballet and contemporary technique and refining her teaching skills. She also is involved with a choreography project and enjoys creating and improvising. Hannah is a member of Semaphore Ballet Company which involves regular ballet, contemporary, and improvisation training which often leads to performances. Hannah currently assists and teaches at a number of different dance schools around London and is excited to start teaching at St. Peter’s.
